Product Exhibition and Proof-of-Concept at 'La Folle Journée TOKYO 2023'

Last week, we exhibited at La Folle Journée TOKYO 2023, held in Tokyo from 4 to 6 May. This article covers the outline and outcomes of our exhibition and proof-of-concept, as well as our future plans.

Proof-of-Concept Using XPAND Code

We conducted a proof-of-concept experiment on the venue stages, trialling a service that guides visitors to information about each of the 200-plus performances via their smartphones using XPAND Code. Attendees were able to scan an XPAND Code and instantly retrieve programme information and performer details.

The experiment was very well received by visitors.

About the Event and Our Participation

La Folle Journée is a major classical music festival that originated in Nantes, France. La Folle Journée TOKYO is the largest classical music event in Japan; this year, 180,000 people attended over three days. World-class musicians and emerging performers gathered to deliver a wonderful range of performances.

At this event, our booth was co-located within the booth and studio of OTTAVA, a classical music radio station. This meant our products and services were also featured in the station's special broadcast, reaching an even wider audience.

Building on the success of this proof-of-concept, we aim to deploy XPAND Code across the entire venue next year. We also plan to encourage the use of XPAND Code at the original La Folle Journée event in Nantes, France, and at similar music festivals around the world.

Our product exhibition and proof-of-concept at La Folle Journée TOKYO 2023 concluded with great success. Coverage in OTTAVA's special broadcast and the warm reception from visitors have helped to raise the profile of our products and services still further.
