A revision is being considered to the JIS standard for guidance pictograms, which also serves as the benchmark for signage pictograms.
Many of you will be aware of this, as it attracted attention through the controversy over proposed changes to the hot spring symbol.
Materials published by the JIS Draft Development Committee include a comparison of JIS and ISO symbols, given as examples of items under consideration for revision.

It appears that there are not all that many symbols with significant differences. If the differences are minor, the discussion seems to be leaning towards retaining the current JIS symbols, so there may ultimately be few changes.
Should any revisions be confirmed, we plan to release updated versions of XPAND Linked products accordingly.
That said, JIS compliance is not mandatory, and most signs already carry text alongside the pictograms, so customers using current versions need not be concerned.
